The launch of Tier 2 at the end of November signifies the end of the Work Permit Scheme as we know it. Employers will now be required to register with the UK Border Agency to gain a licence to employ Non-EU workers. Failure to do so could put existing employees on the scheme at risk, as well as their ability to hire the skilled migrants they require.
