Promotion for Joanne Waters

Congratulations to Joanne Waters who was appointed Membership Services Manager in June. Joanne is responsible for the day-to-day running of Membership Services (Call Centre), Invoicing and Identifying as well as overseeing the operations department in the absence of the Department Head.

Jo has worked for Charterhouse for over 6 years and has been Payments trainer, Training Team Leader, Identifying Team Leader, Invoicing and Identifying Team leader before her appointment as manager.

NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICES WEEK

The 6th - 10th October is National Customer Services week in the UK. Here at FPS we are getting involved as we felt this was an excellent opportunity to highlight the ethos behind good customer service and to have a bit of fun in the process.

What is National Customer Service Week?

National Customer Service Week is designed to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays within an organisation. It is also an opportunity to say a big thank you to those who work in customer service for a job well done.

Each company that gets involved organises its own activities for the week. This could range from a theme for the day, lucky dip prizes, casual wear for staff, team building activities, role swapping and more!

NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

The National Minimum Wage rate will rise from £5.52 to £5.73 an hour from 1st October 2008. The youth rate for those aged 18 to 21 will be increased from £4.60 to £4.77.

TAX RETURN DEADLINES:

The deadline for submitting your tax return is fast approaching. For the tax year ending 5th April 2008, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will no longer accept Self Assessment Tax Returns in a paper format after 31at October 2008. All returns will then need to be filed online.
